São Paulo – The Software Development Support Association of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Softsul) and the Secretariat of Development and International Affairs of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Sedai-RS) are organizing the participation of local technology, automation and telecommunications companies in Gitex, the Middle East’s leading technology fair, due October 17 to 21 in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
Companies that wish to participate may enrol with the Softsul up until September 30. The initiative is also part of a set of actions of the Information Technology Programme of Rio Grande do Sul, promoted by the organizations mentioned above and others based in the state. The project’s objective is to establish Rio Grande do Sul as an international information technology reference center by 2014.
In 2010, the Gitex will have its 30th edition. The event receives over 3,000 exhibitors and approximately 130,000 visitors each year. In addition to the exhibition area, there will be seminars, workshops, lectures by international executives, and debates. This edition will also feature a telecommunications forum.
