São Paulo – This Year Emirates Airline Festival of Literature (above, photo of the 2019 edition launching) will have two Brazilians in its programme, as reported by the website PublishNews. The 11th edition of the festival, taking place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, runs from March 1st to 14. In the very first day of the event, Brazilian writers Wiana Aguiar and Paulo Lemos Horta participate in different events in the festival schedule.
In the first day of the Event, Wiana Aguiar will read a selection of poems from her book “Pepa & Keca – Quem viu rimas por aí?” (‘Pepa & Keca – Has Anyone Seen Rhymes Around Here?’) at 2 pm. The activity is part of the free events in “The Penguin Random House Story Corner”.
The Brazilian was already interviewed by ANBA when she launched her book of poems, which she wrote while in Dubai. Aguiar was born in Brazil and is majored in tourism. Now she lives in the emirate with her family, and many of the poems she wrote talk about her universe in the Arab country.

Horta is also author of “Marvellous Thieves: Secret Authors of the Arabian Nights.” The event occurs at 7:30 pm also in March 1st and will be in English with translation to Arabic. The ticket costs AED 75 (USD 20).

The event is organized by Emirates Literature Foundation and sponsored by UAE vice president and prime minister Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
