Rio de Janeiro – Brazil’s gross domestic product (GPD) rose a seasonally adjusted 0.4% in the third quarter of 2022 from the second quarter, government statistics agency IBGE said on Thursday (1).
The economy expanded by 3.6% from the third quarter of 2021. In the twelve months leading up to September 2022, the GDP grew by 3% from the previous twelve months. Year to date, the GDP grew by 3.2% from a year earlier.
In current values, the GDP in the third quarter of 2022 reached BRL 2.544 trillion (USD 484.088 billion). The investment rate was 19.6% of the GDP, up from 19.4% in 2021, while the savings rate was 16.2%, down from 17.2% a year earlier.
