São Paulo – Brazil’s cosmetics giant O Boticário opened its third store in Dubai, UAE last Friday (20), in the downtown Deira neighborhood. The first outlet opened in Mirdif in September 2018, and the second one went in business at the Dubai Mall last January.
O Boticário has licensed its brand in the UAE to Millennial Capital Ltd, which is managing retail operations in the country since September 2018.
The new outlet comes amid an aggressive push from O Boticário to expand its UAE market share through exclusive products and retail technology to redefine shoppers’ beauty experience.
Established 1977, O Boticário is Brazil’s biggest fragrance company with over 4,000 domestic stores, plus operations in 15 other countries. It is also the biggest cosmetics franchise business in the world, with an estimated USD 4 billion in revenue.
O Boticário offers some 1,200 items. Its Dubai units carry the 480 top-selling products, including body and haircare, makeup, fragrances, deodorants and shampoos. The brand does not do testing on animals, and it invests 1% of revenue into forest conservation.
