Brasília – This Tuesday (31), Libyan interim government officials appointed a new prime minister, the businessman Abdel Rahim Al-Kib. He was elected by the National Transitional Council (NTC) from among eight candidates. The main challenges facing Kib include selecting a new cabinet and holding elections for the assembly that will elaborate the country’s new Constitution.
Early today, the secretary general of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (Nato), Anders Fogh Rasmussen, attended events in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, to mark the formal ending of the organization’s air campaign, which helped overthrow the dictator Muammar Kadafi.
