São Paulo – One of Brazil’s leading dimension stone industry shows, Cachoeiro Stone Fair, in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Espírito Santo, will feature a lecture from the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce on business opportunities in Arab countries. The presentation will take place at 5 pm on Wednesday (29) and admission is free. Pictured above is last year’s edition of the expo.
Arab chamber information management coordinator Marcus Vinícius will give an overview of the building industry in Arab countries, including events and projects in several Gulf and North Africa countries – like the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, works leading to Dubai Expo 2020, housing projects in Algeria and the building of a new administrative capital in Egypt.
Vinícius will also discuss major Arab building industry shows, like the Middle East Stone Fair, the Big 5 and Wetex, for energy, water, technology and the environment. All of these are held in Dubai, the UAE.
This is the Arab Chamber’s first time at Cachoeiro Stone Fair. Special projects adviser Tamer Mansour said that in addition to the lecture, 70% of the Chamber’s member companies in the building industry will be there. “The event will also be an opportunity to find new prospective members in the building stone and construction industries, as well as to publicize industry events in Arab countries, including the Middle East Stone Fair in Dubai,” Mansour explained.
The fair
Cachoeiro Stone Fair will run from August 28 to 31, featuring 180 exhibitors – including three international ones, from China, Italy and Spain. They will showcase machinery, equipment, inputs, technologies and dimension stones. An estimated 16,000 people are expected to attend.
The event is held by Milanez & Milaneze, an arm of conglomerate Grupo VeronaFiere, and hosted by the Espírito Santo State Dimension Stone Industry Union (Sindirochas) and by the Marble and Granite Technology Center (Cetemag).
The fair is open to the public and admission is free. Registration can be made online or onsite, with photo ID required. Opening hours are from 2 pm to 8 pm. Doors close at 7 pm.
