Two businessmen from the Arab country were in Piracicaba, interior of the southeastern Brazilian state of São Paulo, last week, interested in importing sugar and in building plants in their country. They were received by Rodrigo de Campos, partner at P.A.SYS, a company that specialises in designing projects for processing plants.

The institution, which belongs to the Arab Banking Corporation, from Bahrain, will have its shares traded at the São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa). A total of 45.1 million preferred shares, with no voting rights, are being offered. The bank estimates that it will make 608.8 million Brazilian reais (US$ 322.1 million) with the deal. Share reserve requests may be submitted starting today.
Enrolment is open for businessmen from the southern Brazilian state of Paraná who are interested in prospecting business in two Arab countries. The delegation, organised by the Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná, will visit Damascus International Fair, industrial plants, and local business associations.
