Businessmen who participated at the fair in Dubai, which ended yesterday (15), in the United Arab Emirates, return to Brazil satisfied with the contacts made. One of the participating companies, the shoes manufacturer Sandálias Giovanna, sold 700 pairs of shoes to the Arabs. The stylist Leonardo Chiasso, who held fashion shows during the fair, sold 60 dresses during the event.

Barjas Negri, the mayor of the city of Piracicaba, in the interior of the southeastern Brazilian state of São Paulo, visited the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce yesterday so as to discuss the matter. He said he will ask local businessmen to participate in business roundtables and fairs in the Arab countries so as to strengthen the trade relations of both regions. Piracicaba is a producer of products that Brazil exports to the Arabs, like sugar and tractors.

Company Moltec, from the southeaster Brazilian state of Minas Gerais sold the products during the fair in Dubai, which ends today. Today, company owner Mary Almeida will visit a businessman from the United Arab Emirates who is interested in buying her products. Moltec is participating in the fair together with other Brazilian producers of accessories, clothes and shoes.

Imports in turn rose 34%. To further strengthen trade relations, Arab ambassadors based in Brazilian capital Brasília are going to make a two-day visit, starting on Thursday, to the state in southern Brazil. They are going to participate in a seminar for businessmen, in visits to companies and in meetings with authorities.

The trousers, in sarouel style, are part of the summer collection of Canal Concept, a brand of female clothes that has 11 stores in Brazil and three franchises in Chile. Canal Concept began its internationalisation process last year and has already received proposals from buyers from Spain, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia. The Saudis are also interested in opening a brand franchise in their country.

Starting on Thursday the Arab diplomats based in Brazilian capital Brasília are going to visit the southern Brazilian state with the objective of providing incentives to economic relations. The first event will be a seminar about existing business opportunities. Apart from that, the ambassadors are going to visit companies and are going to meet with the governor of the state of Santa Catarina. The trip has the support of the Arab Brazilian Chamber.

Leonardo Chiasso made this decision after seeing the success of his dresses at the Motexha fashion fair that is taking place in the United Arab Emirates. He is participating in the stand organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, in which Brazilian companies in the shoe and accessory sectors are also participating. Chiasso wants to open a shop together with local businessmen and has already identified potential partners at the fair.

Franchel, a maker of cosmetics, is going to export raw material for a company in Syria to produce beauty products in the Arab country. Apart from the business, the presence of the Brazilian delegation in Syria generated a series of institutional contacts. Today, for example, the CCAB will sign an agreement with news agency SANA, from the Arab country, for the exchange of material with ANBA.

The products from Brazil exhibited at the Motexha, fashion trade fair that started yesterday in the United Arab Emirates, pleased the local public. Companies like the shoes manufacturer Samello and the jewels and semi jewels factory Alchemy made contacts that can lead to business deals in the future. The companies are part of a stand organised by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.

Three factories, one stylist and an industry association from Brazil will present today their products at Motexha Autumn, the greatest trade fair for clothes, shoes and accessories in the Middle East, which starts on Monday and follows through until Thursday in Dubai. They are participating in a stand organised by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (CCAB).

In the textile industry, the product is considered a synonym of quality and it will be the theme of an event to take place between the 28th and 30th of this month in São Paulo, in southeastern Brazil. The idea is to show various items in the chain, from cotton lint, to garments, and promote the increase of sales to Brazil.
