Foneplan sold two glass screens for image projection to an importer in the Emirates. The product was developed in Brazil by the company itself. The contract was closed during the Hotel Show, a fair turned to the hotel sector that took place in May. Company participation in the event had the support of the CCAB and of the government of the state of São Paulo.

The deal was closed with Five Stars during the Francal, the shoe sector fair in the southeastern Brazilian city of São Paulo. The minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Luiz Fernando Furlan, made this forecast today, in São Paulo, during the opening of the Francal, the largest fair in the shoe sector in Brazil.
Sector companies signed an agreement yesterday with the Brazilian Export Promotion Agency. The objective of the partnership is to develop the export culture. Brazil currently produces around one million tonnes of pasta a year, and is the third largest producer, losing only to Italy and the US. With the program, the intention is to export US$ 5.7 million in the next 12 months.
The largest shoe sector event in Brazil begins tomorrow. The Syrians represent great import companies, like Al Burak and Salha Group, each importing 50,000 pairs a month, none from Brazil. The CCAB is going to have a team at the fair so as to help in the business.

Last year, exports to the region represented 1.04% of the total export volume. Grendene is the greatest of the sector in the country, with installed production capacity of 176 million pairs of shoes.
Lafico, the company that takes care of the Libyan government investment abroad, is studying the establishment of a holding to prospect and administer business in the country. The state-owned company has already shown interest in applying funds in irrigation projects in the northeastern Brazilian state of Bahia and signed an accord with construction company Norberto Odebrecht for the execution of a viability study regarding the enterprise.
Maringá Soldas has already shipped cylinder heads for tractors to the Arab country twice and will ship again this month. The Arab market offers a great potential to the sector, stated Cássia Imai, a company director who also sells to the United Arab Emirates and Syria. In November, the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (CCAB) is going to promote Brazilian company participation in Saudi Motorshow, a sector fair that takes place in Saudi Arabia.
Producer Nazca, located in the city of Diadema, in greater São Paulo, has been exporting to the Arab market for three years. Among the products sold to the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are strawberry, melon, paw-paw and peach scented shampoos, conditioners and creams, for the infant public.
Three importers from the Emirates and Jordan visited 11 furniture factories in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. They ordered five containers of products, for the value of US$ 50,000. For the next 12 months, at least another US$ 200,000 are expected.
Piloto, a company from the southeastern Brazilian state of São Paulo that produces brakes and components for heavy-vehicle clutches, intends to establish direct contacts in the region and make exports regular. The company, established in 1953, has been selling on the foreign market for over 30 years.
