With backing from the Arab Brazilian Chamber, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East has launched an effort to raise US$ 443,000 worth of donations for aid in the Middle East.

The inaugural event is due next Monday (30th) at the Arab Brazilian Chamber offices in São Paulo. The goal is to raise US$ 492,000 for purchasing medical equipment and assisting 5 million people.
