The Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Thursday (29) welcoming the renewal of the U.N. Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) mandate. Brazil has previously led the UNIFIL Maritime Task Force and currently has some military personnel operating in the country.

The Arab country established the King Hamad Prize for Peaceful Coexistence, an international award that recognize individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to peace and dialogue. The chairman of the prize’s board of trustees provided details in a press conference.
