São Paulo – This Wednesday (17th), the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and newspaper Valor Econômico will promote the seminar “Perspectives in economic relations between Brazil and Arab countries – 60 years of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.” The event will take place at São Paulo’s Tivoli Hotel from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.
Speakers at the seminar will include the Arab Brazilian Chamber president Salim Taufic Schahin and, in the first panel, economists Antonio Delfim Netto, Luiz Gonzaga Beluzzo and Luiz Carlos Mendonça de Barros. The latter three will discuss “The world financial crisis and the state of the economy.”
The second debate will be about “Brazil as the world’s food and energy breadbasket,” featuring João Sampaio, International Relations vice president at Marfrig group and former secretary of Agriculture of São Paulo, Luiz Roberto Pogetti, chairman of the board of managers at Copersucar, and Marcus Vinicius Pratini de Moraes, former minister of Agriculture.
The third panel will be on “How to stimulate growth of trade and investment flows between Brazil and Arab countries,” featuring Michel Alaby, the Arab Brazilian Chamber CEO, Leonardo Botelho, head of the Internationalization Department of the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), and Rubens Gama Dias Filho, director of the Trade and Investment Promotion Department of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Relations (Itamaraty). Entries are closed.
There have been a few changes in schedule since ANBA first announced the event, on September 5th, with new speakers included and others who will not be able to attend due to schedule issues.
