São Paulo – The Santa Cecília University, in the city of Santos, on the coast of the state of São Paulo, is accepting enrolments for a basic course in Arabic language. Classes should start on August 2nd this year and will continue until June 27th, 2013.
Students will be taught the Arabic alphabet, as well as colours, numbers, adverbs, pronouns, professions, the names of countries and continents, among other topics. The course is coordinated by professor Carlos Haddad.
To attend the classes, students are required to have completed their primary education. To pass the course, students must have a minimum of 75% of attendance at classes and learn at least 70% of the contents taught. The total duration is 320 hours.
The course will have up to 20 students per class, and classes will be taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays at two times, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 04:00 pm to 06:00 pm. In case student demand is strong, new classes may be formed. The course can be paid for in up to 20 instalments of 190 Brazilian reals (US$ 120).
