Rio de Janeiro – Fundação Getúlio Vargas released this Tuesday (16) a research that indicates a worsening of the business environment in 2014 in comparison to 2013. The four sectors analyzed (industry, services, trade and construction) informed that they reduced investments from one year to the other. The other approximately four thousand companies consulted for the research also declared to have less disposition to invest in 2015.
In industry, 31% of businessmen reduced their productive investment in the year, against 25% in 2013. A similar situation was identified in the service sector, in which the investment reduction went from 10% to 15%. In the construction sector, the percentage of businessmen that have said to be cutting costs went from 17 to 24
In 2015, FGV believes that the currently weak economic growth will reflect as a drop in disbursement. According to the release, the estimation of industry’s investments, from 2014 to 2015, went from 47% to 41%. In the services sector, from 48% to 45%, and in construction from 45% to 34%. In retail, investments should drop from 63% to 53%.
