São Paulo – This Tuesday (7th), freight company VIP Falcon Aviation Services (FAS), based in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, received from the Brazilian Embraer the first Lineage 1000 executive jet, in the ultra-large category. The delivery ceremony was held at the static exhibition at the Middle East Business Aviation (Meba), a fair held in the Dubai International Airport.
This is the first of two Lineage 1000 jets ordered by FAS, in November 2007, at the Dubai Air Show, alongside an order for other Embraer executive jets. "We are enthusiastic about delivering the first Lineage 1000 jet to Falcon Aviation Services during the fourth edition of teh Meba Airshow, in Dubai," said Colin Steven, Embraer’s Marketing and Sales Director for Europe, Africa and the Middle East – Executive Aviation in a statement issued by the Brazilian company.
According to Steven, Falcon Aviation Services’ clients will appreciate the luxurious interior and the comfort of the Lineage 1000, configured with the largest luggage compartment accessible during flight in an executive jet with total capacity for 9,140 litres (323 cubic feet). The aircraft is certified for up to 19 passengers with five different cabin areas.
The jet offers a range of 8,149 kilometres (4,400 nautical miles), with eight passengers, or 8,334 kilometres (4,500 nautical miles), with four passengers, which enables it to fly on-stop Abu Dhabi to London (United Kingdom), Johannesburg (South Africa) or Tokyo (Japan).
According to information supplied by the company, the executive jet offers more than twice the cabin size of its competitors in the ultra-large category at similar prices, enabling passengers to fly with much more comfort, including the option of one queen-size bed and a shower on board.
"The United Arab Emirates market expects excellence from a company such as ours, and with an aircraft such as this we are certain that we will meet our clients’ expectations," said in a statement Khaled Al Mansour, the CEO of Falcon Aviation Services.
