Rio de Janeiro – The Consumer Confidence Index from think tank Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) slid 0.4 point in December from November to 86.4 points on a 0-200 scale. Year-on-year in December, the index climbed 13.3 points.
The Current Scenario Index slid 0.7 to 73.8 points, after having gone up for four straight months. The Expectations Index was down 0.3 to 95.7 points. The worst-performing index was the one that gauges current consumer satisfaction with their financial situation, which dropped 3.4 points.
