São Paulo – Company Brazil 2 Export is investing heavily this year in advertising its products in the Arab world. Based in Cotia, in the Greater São Paulo area, it makes four different hair product lines and one salon equipment line, which includes dryers and hair straightening irons intended for professional use.

Brazil 2 Export will take part in the Brazilian Festival – a showcase of goods from Brazil to be held by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Mall from February 22 to 25 – and in a business mission to North Africa, which the Arab Chamber will carry out in April.
The Arab market was a natural choice for the company’s founder, businessman Nazir Farra, who’s a son to Syrian parents and a native of Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. The company was established with an export-oriented outlook, and it has focused on Arab countries from the start. “I already had my contacts [in the region],” he told ANBA.
At the Brazilian Festival, Brazil 2 Export intends to show its products to Abu Dhabi consumers; in the North Africa tour, the plan is to get in touch with prospective importers in each of the countries. It currently sells to markets including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Iraq, as well as Australia.
Farra names the features that set his products apart, such as quality ingredients, no potentially hazardous substances such as formaldehyde – meaning the items are fit for children and pregnant women – and international certificates attesting to its quality, from bodies including the Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS) and the Saudi Food and Drug Administration (SFDA).
“We’ll showcase the quality of our products, their reliability and the fact that they’re made with grade-A raw materials,” said Farra. He also intends to offer the option of manufacturing cosmetics for third-party brands. “Through this [overseas] advertisement we manage to reach people we otherwise couldn’t,” added Deborah Teixeira, assistant to the board.

The company is also en route to becoming Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO and Intertek certified. Apart from the Arab world, Brazil 2 Export is looking to break into markets in Latin America, the United States, Europe and Africa.
The company is an Arab Chamber member. Besides commercial promotion events in the Middle East and North Africa, it’s planning to have the launch ceremony for its new hair product manufacturing plant, located in Cotia, at the Chamber’s headquarters on Avenida Paulista, São Paulo. The idea is to have guests tour the plant’s facilities and then celebrate the milestone at the Arab Brazilian Chamber.
Farra also said his company is a member of the Brazilian Cosmetics, Toiletry and Fragrance Industry Association (Abihpec), and that it intends to join actions targeting the markets of Cuba, Argentina, Italy, the United States, South Africa, India and Mexico.
Brazil 2 Export’s hair cosmetics brands are Sweeteez, Diamond Cells, Maria Isabel, and Flamingo; its salon equipment is Gold Caviar.
