Salvador – The Council of Arab Ambassadors in Brazil offered, on Wednesday (20) evening, in Salvador, a dinner in tribute to the ambassador of the Arab League, Nacer Alem (on the right, in the picture above), who’s leaving the position in Brasília to return to the organization’s headquarters in Cairo. The farewell ceremony occurred during the official mission of Arab and African diplomats to Bahia.
“You, sir, fulfilled your mission here always in a straightforward and transparent way,” praised the dean of the Council, Ibrahim Alzeben (on the right in the picture above), who’s the ambassador of Palestine in Brazil. “It’s not easy for a diplomat to be always straightforward and transparent, since it can cause trouble, but you, sir, always knew how to overcome the troubles,” he added.
The CEO of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Michel Alaby, congratulated the ambassador for his work in Brazil and reminded that the organization is part of the Union of the Arab Chambers, an arm of the League for the private sector.
“I would like to thank all the Arab ambassadors that supported my mission and the Arab Chamber that supported my work and me, personally,” said the Algerian Nacer Alem.
The secretary of Tourism of the state of Bahia, José Alves, thanked the visit of Arab and African diplomats to the state in the name of governor Rui Costa.
