São Paulo – The ancient Egyptian civilisation and its history are the theme of the "Mysteries of Ancient Egypt" course, which began on April 11th, at Casa do Saber, in Cidade Jardim shopping centre, in São Paulo.
The course includes four weekly lessons, always on Mondays (11/04, 18/04, 25/04 and 02/05). The lessons will be taught by Flávia Haddad, who graduated in Egyptology from Sorbonne and in Egyptian Archaeology from École du Louvre, two French universities.
Each class will focus on a specific theme of Egyptian history. The opening class will be on "Introduction to Egyptian civilisation: origin, traditions and the main characteristics", the second will cover "Cairo and the pyramids: Sacara, Red and Cheops", the third on "Luxor, its temples and tombs eternalised in history" and the closing class will be about "Abu Simbel and the monumental temples of Ramses II".
Casa do Saber offers 30 positions on the course, to take place on the dates mentioned above informed, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The total cost of the course is 420 Brazilian reals (US$ 258), which may be divided into two parts.
