Rio de Janeiro – Over 4.5 million orders for tickets for the Fifa World Cup in 2014 have already been placed to the International Association Football Federation (Fifa). Of this total, 3.4 million were made by Brazilians. Then come Argentines (223,700 tickets ordered) and the Americans (175,100).
The total exceeds the seating capacity of the 12 stadiums, approximately 3.7 million. As for some matches there will be greater demand than seats offered in the stadium, after the end of the period for orders, on October 10th, there will be a raffle to define who may buy the tickets and how many tickets may be purchased by each person.
For Brazilians, the prices range from R$ 30 to R$ 1,980, depending on the seating position in the stand and what match it is. Those raffled may acquire their tickets from November 5 to 28. After that, there should be a second phase for ticket orders, from December 8 this year to January 30, 2014.
The last chance for ticket purchase will be between the 15th of April and the 13th of July. Orders may be placed at address http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/organisation/ticketing/apply-for-tickets/index.html.
