São Paulo – Brazilian travel agency CVC Turismo has launched a travel package to the United Arab Emirates that includes visits to the country’s seven emirates. Different from most routes, which offers visits to Dubai only, the new CVC package also forecasts two evenings in the emirate of Fujairah and one in Ras Al Khaimah. The route, named “Seven Emirates in Seven Nights,” also includes trips to the country’s five other emirates: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Umm Al Quwain, Ajman and Sharjah.
According to the commercial manager for Asia and the United Arab Emirates at CVC, Paulo Silveira, the aim is to show tourists the local contrasts, such as the Arab traditions – which are more visible in the not-so-known emirates – and the modernity of Dubai. The goal is for Brazilians to be able to see the daily life of the Arabs in the other emirates. It is an alternative to CVC’s other packages to Dubai, one of which lasts seven days and the other, four. According to him, the seven-day package left tourists with some free time, so CVC designed the new route.
Fujairah, for instance, houses the country’s large hotels and resorts, and people from Dubai itself usually spend their weekends there. In the emirate, CVC’s clients will stay in a resort. Also in Fujairah, they are going to visit the Musandam Peninsula, where they will take boat rides, appreciate the mountainous landscape, swim and watch dolphins. The ocean there is very calm, according to Paulo Silveira. The visits to the emirates of Umm Al Quwain, Ajman, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah will be shorter.
The tourists will stay in Dubai for four nights and will also visit Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The package includes a safari in the desert, starting at around 03:00 pm and ending at 10:00pm. In the desert, they will visit a camel farm, watch the sunset and have dinner, including a dance presentation, among other activities. According to Paulo Silveira, the package will have two trips this year, one on July 20th and the other in October.
According to the manager, packages to the Emirates are usually sought by middle-aged, upper-middle-class couples. They are tourists who expect a luxury route. In addition to the new package to the seven emirates and the two packages to Dubai, lasting four and seven days, CVC also offers a package to Dubai and Egypt, another to Dubai and India. The latter was launched approximately four months ago. The package to the seven emirates, in July, costs US$ 3,598 per person, and the October one, US$ 4,618. Payments can be made in ten instalments.
