São Paulo – Demand for industrial goods was down 1.4% in August from July in Brazil, as per the Ipea Indicator of Apparent Consumption of Industrial Goods made public this Thursday (10) by the Institute of Applied Economic Research (Ipea). The indicator covers domestic non-exported industrial production, plus imports.
Year-on-year in August, demand was down 2%. As a result, the indicator was down 2.1% year-on-year in the three months through August. In the 12 months through August, industrial demand was down 1.7%.
