Dubai – The Dubai International Airport (DXB) registered a record in the number of passengers in July, despite a decline in the number of flights. According to the Dubai-based website Gulf Business, 8.07 million passengers went through the airport’s terminals, an increase of 5.9% over July 2016 and slightly above the previous record of 8.04 million passengers registered in this year’s January.
Landings and takeoffs dropped by 4.6% in comparison to July of last year, totaling 34,181. Thus, the average of passengers per flight increased 10.1% to 243.
