São Paulo – Dubai International Airport (DXB) will welcome an estimated 4.4 million passengers between Friday (15) and December 31 due to the holiday season as Dubai continues to cement itself as a popular destination during the winter. The hub (pictured) is preparing for a spike on Friday (22), welcoming an estimated 279,000 passengers.
According to UAE news agency WAM, between December 15 and 31 an average total daily traffic of 258,000 is expected across Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
“We welcomed new airlines and additional flights at DXB at the start of the winter to help attract a growing number of visitors to Dubai and connect them to even more cities. With the holiday spirit in full swing, we’re prepared for this travel,” Essa Al Shamsi, Senior Vice President of Terminal Operations at Dubai Airports, said.
DXB is one of the world’s busiest airports – in 2022 it welcome 66.06 million passengers, up 127% from 2021, when it was still impacted by the pandemic.
