São Paulo – The government of Dubai is promoting the campaign ‘Love Dubai’ at the Shopping Pátio Paulista mall, in São Paulo. The objective of the action, which lasts until June 12th, the Brazilian equivalent of Valentine’s Day, is to show the emirate as a romantic destination for couples and honeymoons.
The campaign is comprised of three different activities. At the first one, a studio was built to take pictures of couples, friends, families or alone. The public can wear typical costumes from the emirate and hold signs with sentences about the city, such as “Don’t take me serious, take me to Dubai” and “Dubai is Top”, among others. The picture is printed immediately and free of charge for the visitor.
If you prefer to take your own pictures with a cellphone, you can also take part in the campaign. Sceneries with images from Dubai are used as a background for those who want to have their souvenir picture kept in their gadgets.
The third part of the campaign is the presence of a calligrapher, who will write the names of the visitor’s partner in a heart-shaped Valentine’s Day card with the image of Dubai.
The calligrapher takes part in the event from Monday to Friday, from 5 p.m. to 10p.m, Saturdays from 10a.m. to 10p.m. and Sundays from 2pm to 10p.m. The pictures, however, can be taken in any day, from 10a.m to 10p.m.
Interamerican Network, agency of Marketing and Public Relations in charge of the campaign in Brazil, points out that the calligrapher, however, will only write people’s names and not whole messages. People may also take only the card, with nothing written on it..
