Brasília – The Economic Activity Index of the Brazilian Central Bank was down 0.51% in May from April, as per seasonally adjusted figures, the monetary authority reported this Friday (14).
Year-on-year in May, the non-adjusted index (since the comparison is between equal periods) was up 1.4%. In the 12 months through May, activity slid by 2.23%. Year-to-date through May, economic activity in Brazil declined by 0.05%.
