Brasília – The Index of Economic Activity of the Central Bank of Brazil (IBC-Br), already seasonally-adjusted, made public this Friday (16), climbed 0.28% in April in comparison to March.
The increase shows a recovery of the economic activity in Q2 since in March the seasonally-adjusted index had declined 0.44% over February. In comparison the between April of this year and the same period in 2016, the increase reached 0.51%. Year-over-year ending in April, the IBC-Br, seasonally-adjusted declined 2.66%.
The IBC-Br includes data from: industry, commerce, services and agricultural, plus tax collection. But the official indicator on the economy’s performance is the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
