São Paulo – The World Economic Forum (WEF), headquartered in Davos, Switzerland, should promote the fourth edition of its Summit on the Global Agenda, on October 10th to 11th, in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. According to the organizers, the meeting should bring together over 700 people to discuss the themes of greatest importance in the global and regional scenery.
The participants are members of the WEF’s Global Agenda Council. According to the organisation, they are academics, businessmen, representatives of governments and the civil society. During the summit, the work will consist of identification of risks, opportunities and formation of strategies to 70 different areas.
There are 79 councils, with members from over 80 countries, according to the WEF. They decided to discuss themes like food safety, financial stability and geopolitical risks.
From October 21st to 23rd, also in the Arab world, the WEF should promote its regional edition for the Middle East and North Africa Forum. The meeting should take place in Dead Sea, Jordan. In this case, the main theme under discussion will be the future of the region in the face of the “Arab Spring”.
