The Egyptian team beat Australia 2-0 and earned a place in the quarterfinals, finishing second in Group C, eliminating Argentina, from the same Group, due to goal difference.
All matches in this phase will occur on Saturday (31). Spain clinched first place in Group C and will kick off the quarterfinals at 5:00 am BRT (8:00 am UTC) against Côte d’Ivoire, second place in Group D, in Miyagi. At 6:00 am BRT (9:00 am UTC), Japan, first place in Group A, will face New Zealand, second place in Group B, in Kashima. At 7:00 am BRT (10:00 am UTC), Brazil and Egypt will play in Saitama, and at 8:00 am BRT (11:00 am UTC), South Korea, first in Group B, will play against Mexico, second in Group A, in Yokohama.
