São Paulo – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced this Tuesday (8) that Egypt is going to host the Africa Cup of Nations, to be disputed from June 15 to July 13. The Arab country was competing with South Africa to be host the event, after CAF decided to remove it from the current champion Cameroon hands in 30 November, 2018 due to the delayed preparations. Egypt is the greatest winner of the Africa Cup of Nations, having won the biennial championship for seven times; they were the runner-up in 2017 and organized the event in four occasions, in 1959, 1974, 1986 and 2006.
Cameroon is going to host the Cup in 2021, the Ivory Coast in 2023, and Guinea in 2025.
