São Paulo – Egyptian company Fruttella For Food Industry already plans to exhibit at the supermarket show APAS in 2024 following the success of its participation in this year’s edition and finding prominent opportunities to export its products to Brazil, with emphasis on citrus fruits and garlic. The company had a booth at the event that took place from May 15 to 18 in the city of São Paulo, in a space organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC).
According to Ahmed Sarhan, president & CEO of Fruttella, the company’s production capacity is around 38,000 tonnes per year, of which about 20,000 are bound for export. A large part comes from the company’s farms, and the remainder originates from productions under the company’s supervision.
He pointed out the Brazilian market is vast and promising, with few competitors, contrary to what happens in Arab and European countries, which encourages the company to compensate for the difficulties linked to longer shipping time frames to reach Latin America. In the next edition of the APAS Show, Frutella intends to participate with a bigger booth than this year.
The company exports its products; among which citrus, pomegranate, mango, onion, and garlic stand out; to over 40 countries, including Canada, France, England, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Ukraine, China, and Australia, in addition to some African nations.
“The company makes a point of differentiating its product in terms of packaging, stowage, and adequate transport,” he said. According to Sarhan, Frutella follows all the requirements of its customers, whether growing, collecting, or packaging, which is why it has gained trust and respect in different countries.
