Rio de Janeiro – In 2017’s Q2, Eletrobras registered a net profit of BRL 306 million (USD 97.55 million). The results are way lower than what the company earned in the same period of last year, which reached BRL 12.7 billion (USD 4.05 billion).
Among the factors that impacted the decline, the company mentioned the resources forwarded to the Extraordinary Pension Plan (PAE), which had 2,097 employees registered and generated an impact in the result of BRL 706 million (USD 225.07 million). The quarter’s balance sheet also shows that net operational revenues reached near BRL 9.1 billion (USD 2.90 billion).
