São Paulo – The Brazilian embassy to Tripoli, capital of Libya, promoted a concert in early September to celebrate the Brazilian Independence Day. According to the Brazilian ambassador to the Arab country, Luciano Ozório Rosa, approximately 380 people attended the concert of the Brazilian music group Samba Jazz Trio. The performance took place on September 10th at the Corinthia Hotel, in Tripoli.
The concert was promoted by the embassy in partnership with the Cultural Department at the Brazilian Foreign Office (Itamaraty). On the occasion, there was a draw for a one-week trip to a five-star hotel in Brazil for two people. On September 05th, there was also an anticipated celebration of the Brazilian Independence Day at the embassy. On the 07th, there was no solemnity, as it was Friday, a Muslim holiday in the country.
