São Paulo – This Friday (3rd), the Brazilian aircraft manufacturing company Embraer announced that it will deliver a Legacy 650 executive jet to actor and Kung Fu star Jackie Chan. He is the brand’s ambassador and according to the company’s press office, the aircraft’s delivery is part of a marketing action to promote the company, especially in China but also in other countries, as the artist is internationally known.
Even though the jet is not owned by Chan, according to the press office, he will be able to use it in his travels. The Legacy jet was painted with the image of a stylized dragon, due to the fact that this is the Year of the Dragon in China. This is the first unit of the model ever delivered in China.
Chan is known for the Kung Fu flicks he made in Hong Kong, his native city, and in Hollywood. He is also known for his charity work.
According to Embraer, the Legacy 650 has a flight range of 7,223 kilometres, allowing for direct flights between Beijing and Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, or between Hong Kong and Adelaide, in Australia.
In the Chinese market, the company received 13 orders for the Leagacy 650 from executive aircraft leasing company Minsheng Financial Leasing.
