São Paulo – The Brazilian aircraft manufacturing company Embraer announced this Friday (29th) that it has delivered two Embraer 190 jets to Gulf Air, an airline based in Bahrain. The Bahraini company had already incorporated two Embraer 170s to its fleet earlier this year.
According to information supplied by the Brazilian company, the Embraer 190s, which have 96 seats each, have been leased from Jetscape, a company based in Fort Lauderdale, United States.
The recently delivered aircraft are going to be used in regional and medium-range routes. They offer 12 executive class seats and 84 economy class seats.
According to a statement issued by Embraer, Gulf Air flies to 40 destinations worldwide and has a fleet of over 30 aircraft.
This week, the Brazilian enterprise announced that it posted a net profit of 220 million Brazilian reals (US$ 128.5 million) in the third quarter this year.
