São Paulo – Falcon Aviation Service (FAS), from Abu Dhabi, should expand the maintenance services it provides to Embraer clients. The Brazilian company signed an agreement with the company from the emirate so that it could also supply the owners of the executive jet Lineage 1000 in the ultra-large category. Falcon signed partnerships with Embraer in November last year and has been providing maintenance for Phenom 100, Phenom 300 and Legacy 600 executive jets, in the entry level, light and super midsize categories.
Embraer made the first delivery of the Lineage 1000 to a client in Abu Dhabi in May this year. "We consider FAS, which also operates Embraer executive jets, a partner to offer high quality maintenance services for our clients in the Middle East," said the Executive Aviation Customer Service Support director at Embraer, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, Antonio Martini, in a company press statement.
Falcon is building new installations for maintenance of jets, in an area of 8,000 square metres, at Bateen Airport, in Abu Dhabi. The site should have a capacity for three Lineage 1000 jets. FAS supplies services for helicopters and executive jets, as well as providing maintenance and taking care of aircraft management. The company already has two Legacy 600, by Embraer, and orders for two Legacy 500 jets, four Phenom 300 and two Lineage 1000, made by the Brazilian company.
"There is great potential for the Lineage 1000 in the region and that is why we are investing much in our maintenance installations in Abu Dhabi," said the CEO at Falcon, Philip Markham, in a press statement disclosed by Embraer. Currently, the company from Abu Dhabi already has a structure in Bateen Airport, 10 kilometres away from the city centre. Falcon was established in 2006 by sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
