São Paulo – Embraer ended June with orders worth USD 17.4 billion, according to data released by the company this Friday (20). The orders are for a total of 360 aircrafts.
Throughout the year’s Q2, the company delivered 20 business jets, with 15 light units and 5 large ones. From April to June, the company delivered 28 aircrafts for the commercial aviation sector. In 2018’s first six months, Embraer delivered 78 aircrafts for both business and commercial aviation.
On Monday (16). Embraer announced it had inked a deal for the sale of 25 E175 jets to the North American carrier United Airlines for USD 1.1 billion. The deliveries of the 70-seat models should begin in 2019’s Q1. In Brazil, local carrier Azul has ordered 30 195-E2 jets.
Earlier this month, Embraer announced a joint venture with Boeing, which will incorporate all businesses and services of the commercial aviation sector of the Brazilian company. The North American company will pay USD 3.8 billion to hold 80% of shares of the new operation. The deal is expected to be completed until the end of 2019.
