São Paulo – The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has established a partnership with multinational company CEVA Logistics to offer its clients a distribution centre for executive jet parts in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
The centre is located near the Dubai International Airport (DXB), in the Jebel Ali region. The premises of CEVA Logistics now supply replacement parts to the Embraer executive jet fleet in the Middle East, as well as support to the Brazilian company’s clients in North Africa and India.
According to Edson Carlos Mallaco, director of Client Support and Services at Embraer –Executive Aviation, “this step forward attests to Embraer’s policy of working as close as possible to its clients in each region.” “We are very glad to offer our Middle Eastern clients this new support centre with an inventory of replacement parts that is closer to them, thus improving the level of our services,” he says.
Embraer currently keeps an inventory of replacement parts for the Legacy 600 and the Lineage 1000 models in Dubai. The inventory is going to be expanded in order to provide support to the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 jets in 2010, depending on the growth of deliveries in the region. The premises have approximately 3,000 parts available, to quickly respond to the needs of clients and authorised service centres.
