São Paulo – The United Arab Emirates now count on an Embraer Authorized Service Centre. The Brazilian company has nominated ExecuJet Aviation Group as a maintenance centre for Legacy 600 and Legacy 650 executive jets. ExecuJet will work on scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at Dubai International Airport.
"We are delighted to provide Legacy 600 and Legacy 650 executive jet customers in the Middle East with a new alternative for their maintenance needs,” said Antonio Martini Neto, Embraer Vice President for Customer Support and Services in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, in a company press statement.
"As the fleet of Embraer super midsize and large executive jets grows in the region, with nearly 25 aircraft in operation, the naming of one more authorized service centre in the UAE marks the Company‘s commitment to offer a comprehensive and high-level support structure to our customers," he finished off.
Last week, Embraer delivered the first Legacy 650 to the Middle East to Jordanian company Arab Wings, as informed by ANBA. The new centre strengthens the customer support and service network in the region, which now has authorised service centres in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and a spare parts distribution centre in Dubai.
Jets to Saudi Arabia
Embraer has also sold two jets to Saudi oil company Saudi Aramco. The first Embraer 170 was delivered in November and the second should be delivered by the end of the year.
"We are honoured by Saudi Aramco’s selection of the Embraer 170, and by the confidence they have placed in our aircraft to fulfil an important corporate role,” said Luís Carlos Affonso, Embraer Executive Vice President for Executive Jets, also in a company press statement.
"I am convinced that Saudi Aramco will enjoy the Embraer 170’s combination of comfort, performance and economics, which has made Embraer’s E-Jets a preferred choice among corporate operators, worldwide," said Affonso.
The Embraer 170 has reach of 3,890 km. The aircraft delivered to Saudi Aramco are configured for 70 seats and have fly-by-wire operation, technology that increases operational safety, reduces work load on pilots and economises fuel.
"We are pleased with the arrival of the Embraer 170s," said Ali A. Al-Ashban, Manager of the Aviation Department at Saudi Aramco. "Embraer jets have earned a strong reputation in the Middle East, and we believe that the Embraer 170 will prove to be a high-quality, cost-effective aircraft for serving our business needs."
