São Paulo – The Brazilian planemaker Embraer, posted a net loss of BRL 467 million (USD 126.5 million) in this year’s second quarter, according to results released by the company this Tuesday (31). In the same period of 2017, the company had a profit of BRL 200.9 million (USD 62 million).
From April to June, the company’s net revenue was BRL 4.5 billion (USD 1.25 billion), 20% below the BRL 5.7 billion (USD 1.58 billion) seen in the same months of last year. The company delivered 28 commercial jets and 20 executive jets, a total of 48 aircrafts, against 59 in the same period of 2017.
In July, Embraer signed an agreement with North American Boeing to create a USD 4.75 billion joint venture, through which Boeing will take control of Embraer’s commercial aviation division, its most profitable segment.
