São Paulo – To celebrate the arrival of summer in Dubai, Emirates is giving a discount of 50% off ticket prices to children under 12 years old in its flights. The discounts have become effective as of Saturday (14th) in flights departing from São Paulo for Dubai. The benefit is only granted if the child is traveling alongside two paying adults. Only two children per couple get the discount, which will remain valid until September 30th at accredited operators. Apart from the discount, children under 12 get free lodging, tours and meals at partner establishments.
Since 2007, the company has been operating a daily flight between Dubai and São Paulo. Starting in January next year, it will begin flying between Dubai and Rio de Janeiro.
Last Tuesday (10th), Emirates announced a profit of US$ 1.6 billion in the 12-month period ended March compared with the same period of the previous year. Revenues have also increased and reached US$ 15.6 billion, mostly due to the growth in number of passengers (14.5%) and higher occupancy rates, which reached 80%. The company’s fiscal year begins on April 1st and ends on March 31st of the following year.
