São Paulo – Emirates Airline announced the return of the Dubai-Rio de Janeiro flight as well as three other destinations later this year. From May 1, Emirates will operate flights to Bali, Indonesia. Flights to London Stansted, United Kingdom, will resume on August 1. Flights to Buenos Aires via Rio de Janeiro will restart on November 2. Emirates is also boosting flight frequencies to Nigeria, Mauritius and Singapore to cater to growing demand.
The four new weekly flights to Buenos Aires will be operated via Rio de Janeiro, starting on November 2. It will initially operate four weekly Boeing 777-300ER flights starting November 2, 2022. As of February 1, 2023, the carrier will expand operations to one daily service.
With the resumption of these four services, the Emirates network will span more than 130 destinations. Last October, the company resumed Dubai-São Paulo flights using A380 aircrafts.
The company currently serves Rio de Janeiro via connections with partner airlines likes Azul and Gol from Rio to Guarulhos, then the passenger boards the A380 to Dubai or other final destinations.
