Rio de Janeiro – The Ten-Year Energy Expansion Plan (PDE 2024), by the Energy Research Company (EPE) is available for public consultation until October 7th. The document, which gathers outlooks for the energy sector in the country for the next ten years, forecasts a 55% expansion in installed capacity of energy generation in Brazil until 2024.
The amount of investments forecasted for this expansion reaches R$ 1.4 trillion in the next ten years, of which 70% will come from the oil and gas sector, 27% of the electric sector and around 3% of the biofuel sector. The plan is available for public consultation in the Ministry of Mines and Energy’s website.
