São Paulo – Navalshore, the Naval and Offshore Industry Fair and Conference, began this Monday (28) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event, which continues until Wednesday (30), brings together shipyards, navigation companies, ship and oil platform product manufacturers and service providers, as well as representatives from public organs and union entities. The goal is to discuss the future of the Brazilian naval and merchant segment.
The fair and conferences are taking place in Warehouse 6 in the Port of Rio de Janeiro. The Brazilian naval industry should receive investments of US$ 353.8 million from the Ministry of Transportation this year, and should generate 13,500 new direct and indirect jobs. The resources will fund the construction of at least 61 new ships.
