São Paulo – The photo exhibition “A Long Journey”, about Palestinian refugees, will open in Brasília next Thursday (7th). The exhibition already visited other cities in the world and will be inaugurated in the capital federal by the commissioner-general of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (Unrwa), Pierre Krähenbühl, who will be making his first visit to Brazil. The exhibition also shows the works of Unrwa in the five places where it operates: Gaza, West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.
According to the materials released by the United Nations (UN), in the exhibition, the audience will witness of one of the longest cases of forced migration in modern history, of violation of human rights and of challenges faced by the refugees in Palestine.
