São Paulo – Next Tuesday (16th), in the city of Curitiba, capital of the state of Paraná, will see the launch of the 2009 edition of the Exporta CIN program. The project is an initiative of the International Business Centre (CIN) of the Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná (Fiep) and aims to increase both the export volume and the number of exporting companies in the state.
The program is geared at companies that do not export and wish to start selling in the foreign market, to those getting started in the field of exports, and also to those that are already involved in international trade and wish to increase the number of destinations. The program is supported by the CIN’s at state-level federations, but is an initiative of the National Confederation of Industries (CNI).
"Fiep and the CIN have a series of projects to help businessmen when it comes to exporting and business prospecting abroad. Our goal is to foster exports and, for that purpose, we have market surveys and tools with which to prepare and take businessmen to trade fairs and business missions, thus increasing the possibility of closing deals," says the coordinator of CIN-Fiep, Janet Pacheco, in a release issued by the federation.
"Another important feature of the project is the sustainability of learning, because the businessman will have technical support from the CIN for one year, so that he may learn, in practice, the techniques involved in the exporting process," explains the coordinator. The program includes support in international client prospecting, introduction to potential buyers, the elaboration of an export plan, and evaluation of competition in the target market.
The program was launched in Brazil in 2007 and has already helped approximately 50 companies across the country. It is now being implemented in 13 states, among them Paraná. The launch of the 2009 edition, in Paraná, will take place at the Fiep head offices, in Curitiba. Information and enrolment are available by telephone at (+55 41) 3271-9107.
