São Paulo – In between one parade and another, the guests at Fashion Rio will be able to taste several international delicacies cooked by Buffet Gustativas Gastronomia. The menu developed by the company is inspired in the cuisine of the five continents, represented by the coloured circles, the symbol of the Olympic Games, which are part of the event’s theme.
From the Americas, chefs Lucas de Carli and Marcelo Duque Estrada cook chilli tarts (Mexican bean, ground meat, tomato and pepper) and tropical fruit. From Europe, a reinvention in the way of cooking Italian capeletti, which are fried so as to become crisp, with bittersweet sauce. From Africa, the chefs bring Moroccan eggplant rolls, and from Asia, fruit chutney. Finishing off the menu, from Oceania come ham hock and Tasmanian-style carrot sandwiches.
For the fashion shows and the Rio-à-Porter fashion business salon, approximately 3,000 visitors are expected, including 450 buyers from Brazil and 50 foreign ones, among them importers from the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon. The fashion shows will continue until Wednesday (13th) in Rio de Janeiro.
