São Paulo – The first Brazilian hydrogen cell powered bus will be delivered tomorrow (14) by the Ministry of Mines and Energy and the Metropolitan Company of Urban Transport of São Paulo (EMTU). The event will take place at the EMTU offices, in São Bernardo do Campo, at 09:30 am. At the meeting the consortium responsible for the supply of the buses and the hydrogen infrastructure will also be introduced. The group is made up of eight companies.
The ceremony will include the minister of Mines and Energy, Silas Rondeau, the governor of the state of São Paulo, Cláudio Lembo, the Metropolitan Transport secretary, Jurandir Fernando Ribeiro Fernandes, and the president of the EMTU, Joaquim Lopes da Silva Júnior. The ceremony will also include representatives of partner companies and organizations responsible for the financing of the project, among them the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Studies and Projects Funding Body (Finep).
