Brasília – The sum of dollar inflow and outflow in Brazil recorded a positive result of US$ 661 million from the 1st to the 12th this month. The information was supplied by the Brazilian Central Bank today (17th).
During the two weeks of June, commercial operations (exports, imports and financing for foreign trade) ran a surplus of US$ 866 million. The financial flow (investment in bonds, remittances of profits and dividends to foreign countries and foreign direct investment, among other operations), in turn, recorded a deficit of US$ 205 million.
From January to June 12th this year, the Brazilian commercial flow is running a surplus of US$ 13.841 billion, and the financial flow records a deficit of US$ 11.590 billion. Dollar inflow and outflow during the period posted a positive result of US$ 2.251 billion. In the same period of 2008, the figure was US$ 15.668 billion.
The Central Bank also informed that it purchased US$ 1.073 billion for the country reserves this month.
