São Paulo – Footwear exports from Brazil to the UAE grossed USD 7.7 million year-to-date through May, up 50% from a year ago. Sales amounted to 1.1 million pairs, up 96.4%, the Brazilian Footwear Industry Association (Abicalçados) reported this Monday (10).
The UAE were the 11th biggest destination for footwear from Brazil.
Overall shoe exports from Brazil came out to USD 415.2 million through May, up 3.7% year-on-year. Sales amounted to 52 million pairs, up 11%. The top buyers were the United States, Argentina, Bolivia, France and Paraguay.
